As a Kindergarten teacher  and child development therapist...
I realized early on that a lot of children didn't come to Kindergarten knowing their sight words, but I also found that many children didn't come to school knowing their letters.

What I found was that the children that had been taught their letters, how to write their name, and the most common sight words advanced much quicker than those children who had come to school not knowing these things.

I found that years later, the children who learned their sight words were advanced beyond what was expected of them.

Teaching sight words was the easiest and most basic method to helping a child get ahead in their education.

This, in turn, allowed them to be confident in all areas of their education, since reading is used in every subject.
As a parent, it can be hard to find the best way to teach children, while making it fun.  We want our kids to look forward to learning to read!  Plus, we want to have fun, too!
After being a teacher, I saw the difference when I applied my methods to the way that I taught my own children.

I had the advantage of having a background that consisted of a degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where I majored in elementary education, plus my certification in Child Development Therapy, plus years as a teacher.

I was able to create fun games, printable worksheets, and ideas to help them WANT to learn.

The best part is that from a very early age, homework has been one of our favorite things.   This sight word packet was not only a way to teach them their high-frequency words, but it was a way to bond with our kids.

Using this PREMIUM SIGHT WORD CURRICULUM PACKET, your child will not only recognize the sight words, but will master the list of words!

Learning Sight Words Improves Grades, Communication, Attention Span and Confidence
There are so many reasons why teaching your child sight words will benefit them now and in the long run...
Teaching sight words helps them to read more fluently
When a child learns sight words, they have an easier time reading at an earlier age.  This leads to more general knowledge.  It also helps them grow their vocabulary and teaches the child to be fluid, fluent readers.
It Improves Brain Development
Children learn at a faster pace during their early years.  When a young child (kindergarten age or younger) is taught sight words, it impacts the development and function of the brain, setting it up for learning reading skills, language skills, and creative thinking.

This, in turn, helps our children to earn better grades, have better communication, more social skills, and have higher confidence.
We offer a 100% money-back guarantee on all of our products.  When used as suggested, this product gives your child a key to their reading success. We have had amazing results from our customers, so we are excited for you to see the same results.

But you don’t have to just take our word for it.
"My youngest was struggling to memorize her sight words until we started using this Kindergarten Sight Word Bundle pack. Being able to combine different activities gave her a more rounded learning experience that helped her learn and remember the words. I can't thank you enough for them! They took the stress out of sight word mastery!"
- Brandi Jordan
“My youngest really struggles with attention. Trying to memorize lists of sight words was so frustrating for her (and for me!) The sight word cards and activities have let us break down the list into little parts that can be used as fun learning games, as shown in the Kindergarten Sight Word Bundle Pack. Now my daughter is back on track and doing great!”
Cynthia Rusincovitch
“For the majority of young people, enthusiastic and habitual reading is the single most predictive personal habit for the ability to achieve desirable life outcome"

frequently asked questions
Can I print this as many times as I want?
YES!  Once you purchase the packet, it is yours to use as you wish.
How often do I use these with my child?
15-20 minutes a day would be amazing for your child! A student who began reading or listening to books by Kindergarten for 20 minutes a day at home will hear 1.8 million words per year.   That means that by 6th grade, that student will have read for 851 hours.  On standardized tests, they will likely score better than 90% of their peers.
Does this teach me to homeschool?
No,  Not exactly. It gives you materials, worksheets, and ideas to help you teach your child.  It also gives you worksheets that your child can use independently.

Will I receive this by mail?
No, after your purchase  has been completed, you will receive instant access via email. It is all digital.
If you do not receive it, simply email us at support@yourmodernfamily.com and we will send it to you.
Will my child see these words in school and in their books?
YES! According to the Reading Teacher’s Book of Lists, about half of all reading texts are made up of the same 100 words!

Will my child need to sound out these words?
No.  Sight Words are words that we are expected to memorize.  Using  decoding skills won't work for these words.  Although they are common words, they are no spelled as we would expect, so memorization is key!   This is why our packet consists of worksheets that make memorization possible... and easy!
Will my child enjoy this packet?
YES!  That is our hope!  The packet is fun all by itself, but when a parent, grandparent or caregiver are working with them, they think of it as special one-on-one time.  The child associates reading and learning with joy and love.  This will help your child to be a life-long reader, which will lead to amazing benefits for your child.
What if I don't have time to do this daily?
Your child will benefit from doing this anytime.  If you can give your child two days a week to work on this, think about how much better off they will be than if they had not worked on their words at all.   As parents, we do what we can, and we need to be proud of that, whatever it may be.
Do you want to give your child the key to success?
STUDIES show that Children who fall behind in reading while they’re young often continue to struggle academically.

"The stronger their language skills are when they reach kindergarten, the more prepared they are to be able to read," Brown University professor Pamela High
